Ikea has quickly become the go to storage for crafters. It is easy to store our 12 x 12 supplies and fairly easy to put everything together. I have been using my Ikea Expedit shelves for over a year and I love them! I really dislike seeing all of my supplies out in the open for everyone to see, including myself so I came up with a solution to fix my problem.
This solution was gorgeous and I loved that I was able to use my favorite paper. This solution was also free and all it cost me was my favorite paper pad. Unfortunately after a year of use, it started to fall apart. I was going to remake it with foam board and strengthen everything, but I realized that the whole system wasn’t working for me. Everything was thrown into a shelf and hidden with a piece of paper. Nothing was labeled and I was searching for where everything was stored.
I finally decided to invest in Kassett boxes from Ikea. They were a faily good price at $9.99 for a pack of 2. You do have to put them together yourself, but they are easy to assemble. It just takes some time and it’s messy.
Once all of your boxes are put together the fun part comes, reorganizing all of your stuff and putting them in your new storage boxes. I found that I was able to fit more in my boxes then before I had them. The only problem is that I cannot fit my 12 x 12 albums in the Kassett boxes, but that is a small issue to have when the boxes look so good and they fit so much stuff in them.
