I wanted to start a monthly place for my readers (as well as my watchers) to be able to interact with me a little more. If you are familiar with the YouTube scene you know that there are a ton of monthly favorite videos. Some people call them monthly favorites, miscellanious monthlies, montly empties, you name it. I really liked the concept and I wanted to put my own little spin on it.
Each month I will be sharing my top picks, but they will be catagorized (ex. tools, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) This is something new that I’m trying out, so I’m sure there will be more things to come in the next coming months.
I think we all know how addicting washi tape can be. When I first heard of washi tape it wasn’t so easy to come by. If you wanted it, you had to either get it on ebay or etsy. I had gotten a few rolls from my Studio Calico monthly kits and that’s where my love for washi tape started. Once Michaels started carrying their own version of washi tape my collection started to grow. Compared to others, my collection is still very small, but it’s getting there. These are just a few of my favorite rolls.
Everyone needs a good glue gun. I have a couple small glue guns that worked really well for me in the past. There was nothing wrong with them, but I was tired of being tied down by a cord. The cords would get wrapped up and hard to deal with when it gets all those kinks in it (you know what I’m talking about). I had seen this glue gun at Michaels and always passed on purchasing it. One day I finally caved and I’m so glad that I did. It is cordless, has a stand, lights up your project when you are using it, and it’s pink! How much better can a glue gun get?
A product that is probably on the top of my list is a stamp set by Lawn Fawn called Quinn’s ABCs. I love the chunky font and the fact that you are able to color the letters in and customize them to fit your taste. The best part is now there is a die set to go with these letters. Not only can you stamp, but you can also die cut each individual letter. I have used this set countless times and every time I use it, I fall in love with it more and more.
This product is a little bit of a stretch for a crafty favorite, but I use it every day to organize my crafts. You may be wondering why I need a specific organizer to organize my crafts. Well have you ever had a great idea for a project, but are in the middle of a current one so you just put it off until later? Most of the time, that later never comes because I have forgotten what it is that I wanted to do. This organizer has remedied that and now I am able to put all of my ideas in one place, plan out video tutorials and blog posts. So in a way, this is my crafty best friend.
If you have been keeping up with the Filofax trend, you know that pens are all the rage. If you have a love for office supplies, like I do, you will love experimenting with new pens. I have quite a collection so far and I only see it growing from there. I picked up a little tip from the beauty gurus on Youtube and that is using an acrylic container (or any other container) and filling it with florist beads. It allows your pens to stand up straight, stay in order, and it’s a great way to keep them at your fingertips and not lost in a pouch. As you can see, I am desperately in need of a bigger container.

It’s been a while since I have posted a blog post here on Jennuine Crafts. With Krafty Girls returning in just a week, I think it’s about time that I start blogging again. Over the last couple of weeks I have discovered the Filofaxing community. Who knew that there was a community of crafters that love to stay organized. Filofaxing is where organizing and crafting meet and come together as one. Of course I had to jump on the bandwagon and I couldn’t have gotten on fasterl I already have one Filofax and two more coming in the mail. I’m sure I’ll have many, MANY more in my life time.
Here is the Filofax that I currently have.
